1863FWD was founded in 2019; in two years the agency became an inaugural R3 awardee from the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority with an initial award of over $600,000. 1863FWD assessed the challenges, service needs, and strengths of over sixty justice impacted individuals and/or family members., and analyzed the data to create a 10 week trauma informed group therapy curriculum, Circle Back 2 Wellness.

Ms. Rollins is a servant and transformational leader that has garnered nearly $1 million dollars total in funding sources from both private and public entities. Her twenty plus years as a social worker and over three decades in social services engendered her to be a subject matter expert across the spectrum of social work championing against racial disparity and institutional racism.

At the helm of 1863’s leadership, she serves on Lt. Gov Stratton’s Illinois Reentry Council; Christian Community Health Center’s Executive Board; ISWEP/CSCI Hamburg, Germany Sister City Delegate Group; Truth and Documentary Advisory Board; and Governors State University School of Social Work Advisory Board. She is an international social worker having presented for National Association of Black Socia Workers, International Association of Social Work Groups, Chicago Sister Cities International,  International Social Work Exchange Program, and the American Society of Criminology.

1863FWD makes donations to groups, curates letter writing campaigns, submits witness slips, and advocates with our voice on panels and bridges resources to those in need.
